"Aaand we're here." As the boy entered the academy, the first thing he did was look around the room, looking to all the world like a buyer examining his potential new house. Resting a hand on his hip, Carter Sheffield nodded, as if satisfied. "Ahh, I missed this place!" By his side was a Houndoor, looking expectantly up at its master. The boy then bent down and scratched the black dog Pokemon behind its ears. "It's been a while, but now that the holidays are over you can battle strong trainers here again, Houndoor." The Pokemon let out a short bark in response, as if agreeing. Its trainer chuckled and straightened up, walking leisurely to the receptionist desk.
"Yoh," he greeted, offering a casual wave to the person behind the desk. "How you doin'? Here to sign in, as usual."

"Hey, Carter, welcome back," Terry smiled to him as Ai jumped off her trainer's shoulder and lept onto Carter's head. She chattered excitedly as she perched on the edgde of his head, leaning forwards so that she stared upside down into his face, also waving to him happily. The little purple aipom seemed as excitable and friendly as always, happy to greet one of her friends.
Terry was typing something, and then looked up with a smile. "There you go, you're signed in. You're in the electric dorm as normal, with the same locker of E1. I know that you know to sign up to all your lessons, but I just need to remind you anyway. And if you're taking any new subjects, get those books, otherwise, you should be all set," Terry smiled.

"Mhmm, thanks," Carter responded somewhat absentmindedly to Terry's instructions. As the other boy said, Carter had already known all that anyway. His attention was mostly on Ai. "Still lively as ever, Ai," he said as a manner of greeting, chuckling as he reached up to the monkey-like Pokemon perched on his head. Her excitable manner seemed to be contagious as the boy felt more high-spirited than before. He knew that it'd be best if he took care of all the signing up to classes business first, but he also wanted to see if he'd be able to pick up any battles along the way. Some of his Pokemon still needed quite a bit of battle experience, and it had been a while since he got any action with his Pokemon.
"Well, I'll be going now. I'm in just a bit of a rush. Catch ya later Terry," putting Ai down on the receptionist desk, he gave a two-fingered wave at both Pokemon and trainer before heading off, his Houndoor tailing alongside its owner.
