A Hard Beginning

Stepping out of the door of the car that their Aunt and Uncle had, Spirit looked up towards the Academy, happy that he was here. He was excited about coming, he couldn't help but feel like this since he knew he was going to have fun. Behind him, he heard the door slam and looked towards the noise, already knowing who it was. "Come on Toxic. At least show some spiriti of liking it here," he said to his sister, knowing that she only came because he made her. His Nidoran, Kal, had jumped out already before the door was closed and just sat where he was waiting.

A faint humph came from her as Toxic walked around the car. "No. I didn't want to come but you wanted me to. I can't believe I actually came," Toxic said, starting up the stairs to the reception room. It was hard for her to actually believe that she would do anything like this and especially for her brother. "Can't we hurry this up, ya slowpoke! I want to sign in quickly before anything else happens," she called, opening the door and heading in, a sudden shape showing itself right above her head as the Shuppet, Haunt, appeared from no where.

Sighing, Spirit start after her, waving to his Aunt and Uncle as he went, and limped slightly after his sister. He didn't know why she acts like this, but some ideas have come to mind. "I'm coming as fast as I can. You know I still have trouble with this leg," he called, stepping into the hall and going to the reception desk. "Our names are Jasper and Casper Santers," he said, not letting his sister speak out yet.

She had stoppe half way, not really wanting to head to the desk and speak. "I don't go by that name anymore and you know it," Toxic called, not liking the fact that he used her real name.

"And what do you prefer being called?" Terry asked her with a friendly smile. "I can change your name on the database so that that is the name you are known as here, if you prefer?" He asked as he brought up the twin's profiles on his computer.

Ai scampered to them to say hello with a wave, then running off out of sight while chattering excitedly.

Looking towards the person behind the desk, Toxic didn't give a smile in response. "Toxic would be fine. I don't like using the other naem, but my brother and relatives like to use it," she said, glaring at her brother. She didn't like the idea of actually using the name Casper, but she couldn't control the matter with what she wanted to do. "And don't even think of telling anyone of the fact that we had done this, not even to our Aunt and Uncle," she said, walking towards the doors of the reception office and just standing there. Haunt just stayed put, a mischevious smile on his face. He like the way his trainer was acting, though he knew he should be worried about her.

Spirit smiled, looking at his sister with nothing in mind of actually doing anything really mean to his sister. He couldn't help but think that she will change again and like everything again. "Don't worry. You know I won't do that," he said, looking back at the person behind the desk. "She just didn't want to come along, but I talked her into it." This was unlike his sister to act like this in front of someone else, but he should figure that it would happen at some point. Kal just looked between the two, not liking what was happening.

"Well, we always need full names on the database, so they had to give us that, but it's fine to change it. I'll make it Toxic now instead," Terry said, typing and changing the name. "There, now you can use it instead of Casper and that's what you'll be known as. Jasper, do you prefer another name as well? Or are you fine with Jasper?" he asked, looking up and smiling to the male twin.
