Appearance: She has long brown hair so dark it looks black from a distance. It's fairly wavy, reaching the middle of her back when loose. However it's normally tied up in a plait, with the front most strands remaining loose, including a fringe which is normally brushed to the side, and clipped out of the way. Her eyes are a deep blue.
She's around 5'6, and wears dark jeans, along with t-shirts the design of which tends to change daily, but is normally of some kind of pokemon. However the black cardigan she wears buttoned up tends to hide the image. She always carries raround a sketchbook and pencils iwith her, either in a bag, or by hand.
Personality: Katelyn is normally a very quiet and reserved person. She's perfectly happy with staying in the background, and not attracting any attention, being fairly shy. If someone new talks to her, she'll try to speak to them, but normally in short sentences, and not very sure of herself.
She's much more relaxed around people she knows, revealing a slightly energetic, and kind personality. She cares for her friends and pokemon very dearly, and hates letting them down. She shows a strong confidence in them, and is happy to rely on them,
believing in them to do what she feels she cannot.
Katelyn's quite intelligent, and capable, but has a low self esteem, and as such does not aim as high as others thinks she could. This is included in battling. Although she fights with determination, she only does so because she believes in her pokemon, not her own trainer skills.
History: She was born to two very successful trainer, and as such grew up around pokemon, enjoying their company. Her parents tried to teach her how to battle, but she was never really focused on it, preferring to draw pokemon instead of battle with them, unlike her older sister, Karin.
She and Karin both recieved a pokemon at the same time, Karin a Larvitar, her a Cyndaquil. Although she was quite young, her parents felt her calm natre would allow her to get on with the pokemon, and so it did, and the two quickly became inseperable, Katelyn often found drawing her new friend, instead of training with her sister.
But that didn't mean she didn't train. She did, but only out of sight of the others, not wanting them to comment on her abilities, believing they would be negative, especially when compared to Karin, who was quickly becoming the strongest in the area. Feeling over shadowed by her sister, she kept quiet about the training, and just went on as normal, drawing and playing with Ember, the Cyndaquil, and her parents pokemon.
She was 8 when she heard about Sigma Academy. Her ssiter had found out about it, and wanted to enrol. Her parents let her, and began to expect Katelyn would want do the same when she grew old enough. However she refused, not wanting to go, preferring to stay at home.
She planned to never go, but when she was fourteen Karin came home for the holidays, having by now become one of the strongest at the school. She talked with Katelyn, and managed to convince her to at least try the academy for a while.
So when the new term came she left with her sister and Vulpix to the academy, unure about whether she'd be up to the standerds of the ther trainers, despite her being older than them.
